Office Staff Courses are modified to meet the needs of each group of participants and can be held during regularly work hours over a period of one or more days or on a weekend. Each course consists of lecture and practice sessions as well as written tests.

Course 1: Basic (Emergency) First Aid with CPR ‘C’
Course 2: Intermediate (Standard) First Aid with CPR ‘C’
These courses are WSIB-approved.

COURSE 1: BASIC (EMERGENCY) FIRST AID WITH CPR ‘C’
Office First Aid Courses are modified to meet the needs of each group of participants and can be held during regularly work hours over a period of one or more days or on a weekend. Each course consists of lecture and practice sessions as well as written tests.
The Emergency First Aid course covers the following specific topics:
— Preventing of Disease Transmission;
— Airway and Breathing Emergencies;
— CPR for Adult and Child;
— Cardiovascular Emergencies/Strokes;
— Spinal Precaution;
— Managing Bleeds;
— Shock;
— Fainting and more;

COURSE 2: INTERMEDIATE (STANDARD) FIRST AID WITH CPR ‘C’
The Standard First Aid course covers all the topics in the Emergency First Aid with CPR ‘B’ as well as the following specific topics:
You will learn the skills outlined below:
— Adult, Child and Infant CPR ;
— Adult, Child and Infant Choking Response;
— Secondary Survey;
— Musculoskeletal Injuries;
— Spinal precautions;
— Soft Tissue Injuries (bruises, burns, and frostbite, etc);
— Heat and cold temperature emergencies;
— Poisons.
