CSA Z1220:24 Workplace First Aid Compliance
Vital Signs workplace first-aid kits are designed in accordance with CSA Group standard Z1220:24, First aid kits for the workplace. This national standard sets the minimum requirements for the contents of workplace first-aid kits across Canada and replaces the earlier CSA Z1220-17 edition.
Our product line includes Type 1 (personal), Type 2 (basic), and Type 3 (intermediate) kits in sizes appropriate for different workplace headcounts (from lone workers up to 100 workers per shift), following the structure defined in CSA Z1220:24. Each kit is assembled to meet or exceed the CSA Z1220:24 requirements for its type and size, using Health Canada–approved supplies from trusted manufacturers.
CSA Z1220:24 has been adopted or recognized by most Canadian jurisdictions as the harmonized standard for workplace first-aid kit contents, under national efforts to reduce regulatory differences between provinces and territories. Employers may use CSA-compliant kits to support their legal obligations but should always confirm any additional province- or industry-specific requirements with their local occupational health and safety authority.
By choosing Vital Signs CSA Z1220:24 workplace first-aid kits, businesses standardize their first-aid equipment on a current, nationally recognized benchmark and make it easier to maintain consistent safety practices across multiple locations.
